These heated socks are great for winter, chilly offices, or if you get cold feet easily. My office is always blasting the AC so I've gotten a lot of use out of these socks on their low heat setting to keep my feet at just the right temperature. Operation is easy. After connecting the battery via the sock's integrated USB-C cable, long press the power button on the side to turn it on and short press to toggle between high, medium, or low heat. Powering off is also a long press of the button. The batteries have LED indicators for remaining charge and current heat settings. They also recharge via USB-C and a pair of USB-C to A cables are conveniently included. Using a 10 W (5V/2A) charger, it takes around 4 hours to charge from nearly depleted. The batteries are slimmer and lighter compared to another pair of 5000 mAh heated socks I own. If I do a light jog, the sock cuffs still manage to stay up but vigorous running will make them droop down. The heating elements are concentrated along the top of your toes and the ball of your feet with the heat on the bottom tapering off towards the midsole. As it's your extremities that get cold first, this keeps your feet nice and warm. That said, I wish there was heating along the top of the ankle since that part often gets exposed depending on your shoes' cuff height and the pants you're wearing. I found for my pair that the right foot warms up slower and not as warm as the left oddly enough. As for fit, I'm between 41 and 42 which is in between sizes according to their sizing guide, so I opted for Medium as I prefer a tighter fit; the foot is just how I like it but the cuff is a bit tight. After a few wears and washes, they have loosened up a bit though. When I first wore them, they were much tighter. The fabric is comfortable to the touch. In the 3 weeks since I've been using this, I have yet to encounter any irritation. I recommend filing your toenails though. There's a lot of loose fabric/threading that can snag on rough or uneven toenails when putting them on. Another feature I really liked is the pocket flaps' magnetic snap buttons for the battery pockets. Compared to traditional buttons and regular snap buttons, it's far easier to fasten. Regarding the battery pockets, I do wish that they were a tad deeper as I found the batteries don't sit fully inside the pockets and protrude slightly above the opening. That said, the pocket flap and the batteries' weight keeps them from falling out; I just prefer not having the power connection exposed in any way though. They can be machine-washed and a laundry bag is conveniently included; no tumble drying though. Alongside my regular laundry, I machine washed on cold with a gentler spin cycle using the laundry bag and they've come out without any problems. I then use a drying rack that has some sock prongs to air dry them. Quality has remained the same after several washes. There's also a companion app to use with these socks. It's pretty simple to use with a straightforward interface. It lets you control each sock separately or both at the same time. Heating is still only 3 levels of low, medium and high; unfortunately, there's no greater granularity even in the app. In addition to powering off, the timed shutdown feature is handy and I also really like that it allows you to turn off the indicator LEDs on the battery. It also has a battery indicator, albeit it's not percentage, just bars. It uses Bluetooth to communicate so you do have to enable location permissions though. As it's not winter yet, there hasn't been a chance to try them in more extreme temperatures, but based on my testing at home, I would say they would complement snow boots well but would not suffice for trying to use lighter footwear in the winter, at least for southern Ontario winters.

Being able to adjust the heat level from my phone is much more convenient than having to constantly reach down and change settings manually. It also makes it easier to find the right temperature depending on how cold it is or how active I’m being. The socks have a comfortable fit and work well with winter boots. Black App-Controlled Heated Socks with 5000mAh Batteries

Compared to the other pair of heated socks I own these seem better in a few ways: 1. They have a more robust construction. Similar to a hiking sock they have different stitching and weaves at different points in the sock to better fit the foot. 2. The batteries are bigger 3. They got hotter and warm faster 4. There is a flap that secures the battery in the pocket 5. There is a haptic feedback when you change the heating settings. This is great when you can't look down at the lights 6. There are more places on the foot heated I wear a size 13 and ordered the XL They go up to the upper calf and are a little tighter than I would prefer. My calves aren't huge but getting them on still takes a little work. I love that the USB-C interface is used instead of something proprietary. I can charge with my many USB-C chargers. It seems to charge at 12W. I was able to test with a generic power bank and it worked. However I wish the controls were not on the battery so I could use a different battery. Connecting a standard battery does seem to cause heat, but I am not sure at what level....seems like probably high.

These heated socks are a very solid value and have performed much better than several cheaper pairs I have tried over the years. I ride my motorcycle straight through the winter, so having reliable foot warmth is a necessity rather than a luxury, and these insulate well even before you crank up the heat. Fit, Boot Clearance, and Heat Distribution: I ordered a Medium, and the fit is nice and snug. For heated gear, a close fit is exactly what you want because it keeps the heating elements tight against your skin and locks warmth inside your boot. Crucially for riding, the socks are tall enough that the battery pouches sit completely clear of the top of my street boots, so there is no uncomfortable pressure or pinching. The heat output spreads evenly across the foot, and the best part is the toe coverage. A lot of budget heated socks place the elements too far down the underside of the foot, leaving your toes freezing in the wind. These wrap heat right around the toes where riders actually need it. App Control and Battery Life: The Bluetooth app control is a huge practical convenience for riding. Instead of having to pull over, unzip heavy overpants, and reach down to hit a physical button on the battery cuff, you can check remaining battery levels and adjust heat modes directly on your phone. The two included batteries charge via standard USB-C, meaning no proprietary chargers to keep track of. In real-world commuting, I get about 4 to 5 hours of runtime, which easily covers two days of round-trip rides before needing a plug. Washability and Minor Gripes: Care is straightforward because Kemimoto includes a mesh wash bag in the box. You just need to remove the batteries and tuck the charging cables back into the battery pockets before washing. My only real complaint is with the included charging cords. The box includes two individual USB-C charging cables (and no wall brick). While it is great they used standard USB-C, including a single split Y-cable (1 USB to 2 USB-C) would have been much smarter. A split cable takes up only one wall outlet slot to charge both batteries simultaneously and is far easier to travel with. Overall, the combination of real wool insulation, solid toe heating, boot-clearing fit, and phone-app adjustment makes these an easy recommendation for cold-weather riders or winter outdoor work. Rating Scale: 5 Stars: Exceeds expectations in both build quality and value. 4 Stars: Meets expectations; a reliable product with good value. 3 Stars: Average.
